Rquirements for International Student Applications

Applicants must meet the following application requirements 1,2,3 and 4.

①Students who have completed or will complete the 12th year of a legitimate school education outside Japan by March, 2027.

②Students who will be 18 years old as of March 2027.

③Applicants Who Possess the following Level of Japanese Language Proficiency.

・1-year Preparatory Course ・・・ CEFR B1 level or above

・1.5-year Preparatory Course ・・・ CEFR A2 level or above

④Applicants who aspire to become creators in the entertainment industry and intend to progress to the vocational courses at AMG.

Screening Process

①Document Screening.

・Submission of the following documents is required:Statement of Purpose, Essay in Japanese, Certificate of Graduation (from the most recent educational institution),Statement of Financial Support, and other required documents.

②Japanese Written Examination and Interview

・Applicants will be assessed on their Japanese language proficiency, conversational ability in Japanese,motivation to study in Japan, and future goals.

※The application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances once the admission screening process has commenced.

Tuition Refund Policy

Payments are generally non-refundable.However, excluding the admission fee and bank charges, refunds are issued for visa denial or pre-enrollment cancellation upon return of the Certificate of Eligibility and the Letter of Acceptance (or proof of visa refusal).Mid-term withdrawals are eligible for a 60% refund of the remaining tuition.

Application Procedure

①Application Form (including the Statement of Purpose and Essay)

②Digital Photo (front-facing, without a hat, with a plain background)

③Certificate of Graduation (or Diploma) and Academic Transcript from your most recent educational institution (A Japanese translation is required.)

④Documents Certifying Japanese Language Proficiency, such as a JLPT Certificate of Proficiency or Score Report, or other documents verifying your Japanese language study history

⑤Financial Support Statement (School-designated form)The financial sponsor must complete the form in their native language and attach a Japanese translation.

⑥Documents Verifying the Relationship Between the Applicant and the Financial Sponsor, such as a family register, resident certificate, or birth certificate A Japanese translation is required.

⑦Bank Balance Certificate of the financial sponsor

⑧Documents Verifying the Source of Funds for the Past One Year,such as copies of the financial sponsor's bankbook/passbook for the past year

⑨Documents Verifying the Financial Sponsor's Employment or Occupation,such as an employment certificate, business license, or tax certificate (A Japanese translation is required.)

⑩Documents Verifying the Financial Sponsor's Annual Income

⑪Study Abroad Consent Form (School-designated form)To be completed by the guarantor or financial sponsor.

⑫Copy of Passport (photo page, passport number page, and all pages containing Japanese immigration stamps or records)
Notes

・The photo submitted in Item 2 will be used for your student ID card after enrollment.

・The forms for Items 5 and 11 can be downloaded from the school's website.

・Japanese translations may be prepared by the applicant. However, machine translation (including automatic translation tools) is not accepted.

・Please submit documents that have been issued within the past three months.

・Additional documents may be requested after your application has been reviewed.

Results and Enrollment Procedures

①The results will be sent to you by email within two weeks.

②School will apply for the "Certificate of Eligibility" (COE) on behalf of successful applicants.

③Tuition and fees must be paid by the designated deadline after the COE (Certificate of Eligibility) is issued.
The bank account details for the transfer will be provided separately.

④The Certificate of Admission will be send by email once the payment of tuition and fees has been confirmed.

⑤Please apply for a student visa at the Japanese embassy or consulate in your home country.

⑥After your visa is issued, please arrive in Japan on the date designated by the school.

Living in Japan

・We do not have on-campus dormitories, but we can introduce students to nearby dormitories and apartments.

・There are many shops around the school, including several well-known ramen restaurants. There is also a convenience store right across from the school, so you’ll have plenty of options for meals.

・Monthly living expenses, including rent, are approximately ¥100,000–¥130,000.

・Students who obtain Permission to Engage in Activity Other Than That Permitted Under the Status of Residence Previously Granted may work part-time for up to 28 hours per week. During long school holidays, they may work up to 40 hours per week.
